The Royal Oak City Commission has appointed Amanda Herzog to the Royal Oak Civic Foundation’s board of trustees and reappointed five existing trustees. At a special meeting October 27, board chair Thomas McGannon reported on the foundation’s successes in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The city commission approved terms ending in 2028 for Howard H. Collens, Sharlan Douglas and Eric Lofquist.
Two founding trustees were appointed to shorter terms. Alex Fike will serve for one year and Tom McGannon, who has chaired the board since 2019, will serve his role through February, 2026.
The foundation recognized and thanked Trustee Christopher Bower, who didn’t seek re-appointment.
