Living your best life with likeminded, caring people beside you

Senior Center

The Royal Oak Senior Community Center is open to community members 50 years old and older, providing support and assistance along with fitness and extracurricular opportunities, trips, informational learning events, and more.

Whether you or a loved one are a senior living on their own, we strive to offer the support and activities that are most important.

Helping seniors live a life full of social engagements while supporting independence

We offer local seniors opportunities for lifelong education, leisure, and education to help them achieve the best quality of life at any age.

From day trips and other travel opportunities to games and social networking, our calendar is ever changing with the latest activities for mind and body. Enjoy board games, card games, dance classes, art classes, French language classes, and so much more!

Meal program – providing delicious, nutritious meals to area seniors

Tim’s Kitchen is our chef-operated kitchen, with daily meals prepared with culinary creativity. This non-subsidized meal program offers dine-in options from 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. and carryout options from 12:15 p.m. – 4 p.m.

We also offer baked goods through Baker Lora for $1 each, including cookies, cakes, bread, and more.

Please note Meals on Wheels is completely separate from our kitchen. For more information on the Western Oakland County Mobile Meals program, call (248) 223-9160.

Helping you get the resources you need

Navigating senior resources can be overwhelming. That’s why we strive to take the pressure off by guiding you through the processes.

We have experienced counselors to help seniors in choosing the right healthcare plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, prescription plans, and help working through medical claims and billing. We also help with any social security questions or concerns. We also help our veterans get connected with benefits. And we provide overall financial wellness education.

We also provide free in-home visits to assess individual needs.

Call (248) 246-3917 for more information.

Your Donation to Royal Oak Senior Center Makes a Difference

Every donation matters to us and to the lives we enrich

Your donations to the Senior Community Center go directly to supporting our services and those we serve.

With inflation, the cost of everything has risen – from food to gas for our fleet to utilities and everything in between. With donations from the community, we are able to ensure better our programs, resources, and services continue. It also allows us to keep trips and activities affordable for our guests.

With your help, we can continue to offer a welcoming, safe, and active environment for you and those you love. Helping seniors in our community live a full, active life with support along the way
