From the desk of Tom McGannon (Chairman, Royal Oak Civic Foundation)
Many thanks to everyone who made Arts, Beats & Eats on 5th 2024 a great success!
Here’s to:
Jon Witz and Shannon Wojtas – What an outstanding preview event you hosted last evening! Many thanks from my volunteer colleagues at the Royal Oak Civic Foundation for your incredible partnership with us to produce the second annual Arts Beats & Eats on 5th as a charity fundraiser for our community. It was a great gathering of community leaders, and we appreciate you helping us host our important guests while raising funds for a number of non-profit organizations. You consistently go above and beyond to help us as we grow our operations and our fundraising to provide resources for the Royal Oak community. Last evening’s event was an outstanding effort by your team from top to bottom, and we appreciate your incredible, ongoing, and valued support. I personally appreciate how you and your organization showcase Royal Oak in a consistently positive light throughout the year.
Commissioners Cheezum, Herzog, Hunt, Kolo, and Macey – Thank you for your support in attending the event last night as well. We were delighted to host you and so many other civic leaders during a beautiful summer evening in the heart of our downtown. Your generous attendance made all the difference as this event became a power-networking event for Royal Oak civic leaders. Thank you, again, for your personal commitment to helping us grow this new event.
Mark Wollenweber – Thank you for encouraging many of your team to attend and for attending the event to show support for our efforts.
Mayor Fournier – As always, thank you for your continued support of the Royal Oak Civic Foundation.
To my colleagues with the Royal Oak Civic Foundation (Christopher Bower, Howard Collens, Commissioner Sharlan Douglas, Alex Fike, David Guest, Julie Lyons Bricker, Darian Neubecker, John Peetz, Peter Provenzano, Amanda Sears, and our staffer Jill Martin) – Many thanks for the roles that each of you played in year two of this new event: fundraising, connecting with our non-profit partners, marketing and promotion, financial management, and attending the event to network with the civic leaders in attendance.
Please accept my hearty thanks to each of you for your role in helping us create a new, sustainable, exciting, power-networking event as the preview for one of the region’s best summer events over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Best regards,
Tom McGannon
