Adopt-A-Park

The Royal Oak Recreation Department also has an Adopt-A-Park program, which recognizes groups of individuals from the community that remove debris and litter from a specific “adopted” park at least twice per year.

For-profit groups that are accepted into the Adopt-A-Park program are charged a $100 non-refundable program fee to help defray costs. There is no program fee for groups determined by the department to be non-profit groups, school groups, family groups and the like. Groups that wish to adopt a park for litter and debris removal purposes should contact the recreation department at 248-246-3180.

The Recreation Department provides trash bags and collection of the litter bags after clean-ups. The City of Royal Oak erects signs recognizing Adopt-A-Park groups at its parks.

Please call 248-246-3180 for more information regarding the recognition program or Adopt-A-Park.
