Giving Back to the Great City of Royal Oak
Dear Friend:

What makes our community so special? It’s the people who call Royal Oak home – neighbors like you who love this city and are committed to seeing it thrive.
You can make a difference by supporting the Royal Oak Civic Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to funding city programs, services, and charities that directly impact our community.
It’s so easy. Contribute today – any amount will make a difference! And here’s some exciting news: We’ve just learned that a donor will match all contributions up to a total of $20,000. You double your impact!
Your donation will drive foundation grants that protect and improve the things that touch our hearts, reflect our values and keep us healthy and safe. You’ll join our mission to enhance Royal Oak’s parks, library and public safety. To support our seniors. To celebrate arts, culture and history. To comfort abandoned pets.
We’ve given more than a half million dollars to Royal Oak city projects and local charities.
Last year, for example, we paid for lawn and yard services for low-income senior citizens.
“In the past our staff regretted not being able to help seniors who came to us for assistance around the yard,” said Senior Center Director Yolanda Botello. “You let us say ‘Yes!’”
We gave the Royal Oak police department Meijer gift cards in small denominations to give to people in need.
“You can’t imagine the dramatic difference your gift cards made in the lives of the people we’ve helped,” said Royal Oak Chief of Police Michael Moore. “And our officers feel great that you’ve trusted them to make those decisions.”
Act today to maximize your gift! Every dollar you give, will be matched 100% up to $20,000 when you respond to this mailing.
Thank you! Warm Regards,
Thomas McGannon, Board Chair
P.S. Mark your calendar for our annual fundraiser: Join us for a night of celebration at Arts, Beats & Eats on 5th on Thursday, August 21, where guests will sample festival cuisine, enjoy entertainment, and mingle with civic and business leaders.
