Tom Violante, founder of Holiday Market, is remembered for his commitment to philanthropy and community. Now, his legacy lives on through something beautiful.
Thanks to a Royal Oak Civic Foundation grant along with the Violante family, Lions Club, and Friends of the Library, outdoor musical instruments now grace the library terrace. Anyone can play them, whether sighted or not.
The sign? Written in braille.
Public parks rarely consider those with limited vision. This installation changes that, creating accessible musical moments for all.
